There is a specific moment on the coast when the wind catches the water, shifting the surface into a pattern of fluid lines and moving light. In this piece, Ocean Breeze, the intention was not to paint a static view of the shoreline, but rather to translate that sense of constant motion.

The process began with the layering of fine, sweeping brushstrokes to build up the structure of the water. I chose a palette dominated by teals and soft blues, interlaced with warm, sandy gold tones to mirror the interplay between the sea and the light filtering through the air. By allowing the paint to overlap in translucent sweeps, the surface retains a sense of transparency, suggesting the depth of the water and the rush of air across it.
