As an artist, there is something endlessly captivating about the East Anglian coastline. This original watercolour and ink painting is my personal tribute to the timeless charm of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

For this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet, historic character of Aldeburgh Beach. I’ve beautifully depicted one of the iconic traditional wooden fishing boats resting on the pebble shoreline, set against a vast, sweeping coastal sky and the distant sea horizon. Using fluid watercolour washes, I built up the moody, atmospheric light of the coast, while my expressive ink line work brings out the weathered textures of the boat and the iconic shingle shore.
